Cape Coral is a waterway wonderland containing over 400 miles of navigable canals. You don't need to be on a canal, the river or a lake to enjoy boating. We have quite a few marinas and ramps from which to launch your boat or rent one. One such boat ramp is located at the very south end of the peninsula, at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park.
I always enjoy visiting the Yacht Club Community Park. There are tennis courts, pool, beach, marina and restaurant. It is one of the original landmarks of Cape Coral built in 1957. Actually, the neighborhood known as Yacht Club, beginning just South of Cape Coral Parkway as you come in from the first bridge from Fort Myers, is where the city originated.
Last year, the Boathouse Grill opened, a fun restaurant smack on the sand do the Cape Coral Beach. It's a great place to kick back and enjoy the view towards the Pier and Sanibel island.
There are about 98 slips for boats up to 55 feet and you may rent your own for an hour or a day.
This marina has also "unrestricted gulf access" which means there are no bridges to the river and the Gulf of Mexico.
