Wednesday my husband, Larry and I headed for Camas WA to pick up a Jeep Rubicon (he actually bought on e-bay).
Knowing that my dear ActiveRain friend, Debb Janes lives there, I called her the day before to see about an impromptu "Meet Up". These are always so special to share on ActiveRain because of the scads of relationships that have developed across the country (and maybe the world) thanks to this platform.
It proved to be successful and we had a grand evening finally introducing our powerful spouses to each other over dinner at Roots, a terrific restaurant that I would highly recommend (thanks to Debb and Bernie for picking this out). Bernie, Debb's husband and partner in real estate and Larry found some instant commanalities in the food industry in their pasts. Since Debb and I feel like sisters, leading parallel lives, it was so natural to have our spouses get along in an easy manner.
A leisurely dinner with delectable food and comfortable conversation, it proved to be yet another perfect ActiveRain "MeetUp". We have others whom we want to include for our next one, but we'll keep that under wraps until it comes to fruition.
