Christmas Village at Irvine Park.

Christmas Village at Irvine Park.

As with many local towns, there is a need in Chippewa Falls to revitalize the downtown area. So, in an attempt to draw people in and help them to become aware of the need for building rehabilitation and to market the down town businesses, the city is offering some old fashioned horse-drawn wagon rides.

There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxing horse drawn wagon ride through the Christmas Village in Irvine Park. Come and enjoy the sights, sounds, and feelings of Christmas.

Starting on December 1 and continuing through December 22. Get your tickets early as they go fast.

Hi Bob... these rides sounds like a great way to attract people during the holiday season.

Hi Bob Crane If they really want to rehabilitate the downtown they might consider some REAL economic incentives such as no permit fees, a tax holiday, and even a bond fund for low cost improvement loans.

The wagon ride is cute but it won't have the desired result.

I am really beginning to wonder how Wisconsinites think.

Look at you all dressed up in a suit. Very handsome, my friend. I've been so out of touch of late with many of my Rain buddies. I'm going to fix that though. It appears as if the City of Chippewa Falls has found a way to try to educate folks on the need to refresh and refurbish - and a charming way to do it too.

Bob-That's sounds like a nice community event. Downtown revitalization is needed in lots of cities and towns.
