Carlsbad Village Faire 2016 is Coming
November 6th in Carlsbad
It’s that time again in Carlsbad for one of arts and crafts lovers’ favorite events, the Carlsbad Village Faire on Sunday November 6th, in just 2 weeks.
As always, the 2016 Carlsbad Village Faire takes place in downtown Carlsbad Village on the north side of Carlsbad Village Drive along State Street and Grand Avenue, and on neighboring streets, covering a 14-block area.
The popular Carlsbad Village Faire happens twice a year in the Spring and Fall, and by all reports is the largest one-day outdoor fair in the country – a pretty impressive statistic for our little seaside town. Our weather is pretty pleasant in Carlsbad at this time of year, and if history is any indication you can expect a crowd of 100,000+ attending.
The 2016 Carlsbad Village Faire will open at 8 am and runs until 4 pm. With the holidays approaching, you can expect some pretty good shopping more than 900 vendors offering everything you can imagine, and want. The Carlsbad Village Faire is like a mobile outdoor mall!

Kids and parents will certainly have lots of fun – the Carlsbad Village Faire offers rides, more than 50 booths of food of all types, and plenty of music, including the traditional beer and wine garden with live bands and large screen TV hosted by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad. The Kiwanis Club will again feature its 25-year tradition, the popular annual pancake breakfast at the Train Depot a few steps away from the heart of the Faire between 7 am and 12 noon. The kids can enjoy a super slide, a bounce house, rock climbing, face painting and more.
If you should happen to get tired of the Carlsbad Village Faire vendors, there are numerous shops and restaurants along State Street, Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive. No doubt there is something to please every member of the family no matter how long you stay…and don’t forget the beach is just a couple of blocks away, too!
As with other Carlsbad Fairs, you can expect that parking will be a challenge, so unless you have the patience to spend time driving around looking for parking (remember, it’s all FREE in Carlsbad Village), use one of the 2 shuttles, running from the northwest corner of Sears at The Shoppes at Carlsbad (formerly the Westfield Mall) near the 78 and El Camino Real, and the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas just north of Poinsettia off the 5 freeway. Shuttles run every 15 minutes.
Don’t miss one of the nation’s best outdoor one-day fairs Sunday, November 6 in Carlsbad Village – fall is a beautiful season at the beach in Carlsbad, and the Carlsbad Village Faire 2016 promises to be another winner following decades of success.
