Sellers, walk around your home after a showing.

I received a call from a client.

He is  missing a few cheese pieces.

I asked him when he noticed they were gone.  (Just today)

I asked when the last time he looked at the set.   (2-3 weeks ago)

We had 4 showing in that amount of time.

Not a lot I can do about it.

if it had just happened, I could have called the  agent and made an attempt although not a whole lot wr can do.

I had told my client to put anything of great value away and to look all around the home after each close.   (He didn't)

Sellers, we do our best to watch our clients, but some are real crafty.

Make sure you walk around and look at stuff before a  showing and absolutely after one also.  At least that would give us a chance in getting back the stolen items.

I tell my clients they need to put away the small stuff that is easy to go missing.

was it cheese pieces or chess pieces? regardless it is great advice! I showed a house once that was so messy I couldn't see the floor - but the agent called later to ask if we had noticed a Mont Blanc pen which now was missing.
