I took a bath and the tub didn't drain and the toilet was bubbling: never a good sound. The plunger was useless and after calling the plumber and not getting a call back, I got the snake a former contractor left here. I had no idea what I was doing but I tried. I then called Mr. Rooter, who I had used once before. One person was calling a dispatcher and after two hours it became clear their idea of an emergency was different than mine. I don't expect someone to come right over but I do expect a call advising me when I can or should expect someone. An hour after that I tried flushing the toilet and it worked. I will still try a plumber but the emergency passed.

Dawn liquid detergent is a must have in any household. It is a miracle worker for toilet clogs and getting grease spots out of clothing. My husband travels with a little bottle to spot clean his shirts.
