Beauty and the Beast Naples Idaho

You know my affinity for trains.  I am putting together a video showing the beauty just driving on Highway 95 from Sandpoint through Naples and up to Bonners Ferry Idaho.

I could not wait to share this photo with you.  This beast sitting, waiting, almost alive with close to a mile of tankers behind it, and all the while surrounded by serene fall beauty and contrasted by the angry skies.

Jeff Dowler I still can not wrap around getting all that moving.  Power or not, think about how little metal to metal from the engine to the tracks and that is all the traction?  Geez.  Mark

Great photo Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint . My home is located 3 blocks North of a Canadian Pacific Rail yard and about 10 blocks South of a Burlington Northern Rail yard. I love seeing the engines and cars everyday... as long as I can get around, over, or under them when needed.

Thank you Mark, these trains are a work of art. Precision and tough as steel. I also agree with Lisa Von Domek

Mark, great photo. I did a post on the trains in West Virginia. It is the best way to see Fall in all the glorious colors.

Good morning Mark.  I think if I come back re-incarnated I may want to be a train engineer and drive these big long freight trains.

Hi Mark - Great photo! With two main lines running through Fort Collins, one of which goes right through downtown, we see these a lot more than most people would like - but I've always been a fan.

Mark, This picture goes so well with your fall theme. Grain travel can be very entertaining when you have good scenery to watch. You do a excellent job of selling the Idaho life style.
