If you are looking for some unique Halloween fun and live in the Hudson Valley I have a great suggestion.
Washington Irving was a great American author who lived here and wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1819. The original town of North Tarrytown, just over the Tappan Zee Bridge changed its name to Sleepy Hollow. There is lots of history here.
Come to the Old Dutch Church on evenings in October and he master story teller Jonathan Kruk dramically tell the story of The Legend of Sleppy Hollow.
You will hear of the Headless Horseman, Icabad Crane, Katrina Van Tassel, and others. What a great place to hear this tale at night in the Old Dutch Church next to the old grave yard.
