October 2016 video market update on Luxury Home Sales in Charlotte, North Carolina

Charlotte region saw positive trends in the luxury home market during September 2016 as compared with the same period one year ago:
- The number of sales of luxury homes increased 37% year-over-year.
Days on market were down 3% on a year-over-year basis to 100 days.
Median list price for luxury homes was $1 million with a median sale price of just under $914,000.
- 32 homes priced between $1 and $2 million sold during the month of September and two homes priced over $2 million sold in September 2016. This compares with September 2015, when 21 homes priced between $1 and $2 million sold and was fairly flat compared with five homes priced over $2 million sold. The most expensive home sold during September 2016 sold at $2,145,000 in south Charlotte.
