Tis the season for Halloween Family fun. Weather you are looking for a spooky attraction or just going to pumpkin pick Chittenden County has lots to offer. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holiday's. Getting into the spooky spirit is part of the fun.
A quick peek into some fun and "spooktacular" events caught my eye.
For those of you who prefer a wholesome fun filled day don't miss out on Parker Family Farms located in Williston. If you are looking for the perfect Jack O' Lantern they have it and then some. Parker Family Farm will supply you with all types and varieties you've never seen before.
Making pumpkin pie? The Small Sugar, New England Sugar, and Mystic Plus varieties have been bred to have thick, delicious flesh with natural sweetness, making your pies taste even better. They also carry ornamentals perfect for any dinner table centerpiece.
Just a few miles down the road is the Haunted Forest. This is one event not to be missed!
Vermont's most beloved, largest and longest running Haunted production in the State! Come enjoy this unique annual celebration of Halloween! Walk the mile-long trail through the forest lined with almost a thousand uniquely carved glowing pumpkins and enjoy scary, creepy and funny Halloween themed skits and vignettes.
Over 400 volunteers in the community come together for three nights (October 27, 28, & 29) and one matinee show (October 29th) to provide an unforgettable evening of Halloween outdoor theater. During the show mysterious guides lead guests through the dark and foreboding forest, where paths are lit by over 1,000 flickering Jack-O’-Lanterns. Throughout their passage, visitors encounter approximately eleven Halloween-themed performances, where strange and fascinating characters entertain our guests with traditional New England tales. The scenes range in their entertainment from scary to funny to artistic.
Are you ready to be really scared? Then Reeves Haunted House located on 39 Cedar St. in Essex is for you. It is so scary it is not recommended for children. A self guided tour of 15 haunted basement rooms will give the thrill seekers a night they won't soon forget!
Friday October 28th and Saturday October 29th from 7-10pm
Monday October 31st from 6-9pm

Halloween would not be complete without a haunted walk in historical downtown Burlington. Who better to do that than Thea Lewis also know as; The Queen of Halloween. Queen City Ghostwalk is Vermont’s original haunted history tour- the only tour in Vermont led by a published author of the paranormal, who has participated in ghost investigations across the state. Burlington’s Most Haunted!
Looking for a Halloween theatrical event? North Hero House will be hosting a two day murder mystery show Friday October 28-30
A FALL FOR LOVE” performed by the October Theatre Company
A fall wedding in Vermont…. a feud between families…. a murder in the autumn air.
Two families have come together for a weekend wedding and reception at the beautiful North Hero House. The reception will be held in the North Hero House dining room starting at 6PM on Saturday October 29. Cocktails, dinner, dancing and alas… murder will be on the agenda. As a participant you will be assigned to either the bride’s or the groom’s family. Guests may even choose to wear a costume for the reception. For more information click Here
