This is a photo of the quaint Lakefront Community of Old Plat in Huron, OH.  It embodies the essence of this humble community and it's precious resource.  If you look closely, you can see the "bones" of the world class Roller Coaster capital of the world, Cedar Point Amusement Park

Huron, OH  Lake Erie

Mary, gosh, this harkens back to a different time, certainly! The starkness is quite beautiful in its quiet shades. I couldn't find the "bones", but I'll bet my sister who lives in Cleveland and who is a lifelong roller coaster fanatic probably rode on it. When did it disappear?

Thank you for your entry into the photography contest.

Thank you so much..

Cedar Point is still very much alive and busy with Hallo weekends this time of year.

The "bones", are perhaps, a misnomer.  It's just what it looks like to me in the photo.

Thank you again for your kind words

Hi Mary - That's a great photo. It actually looks a lot like the Long Island area where they shot a lot of The Girl on the Train - same kind of feel. Thanks for your entry!

Thank you, it is a very special place.  I have never been to Long Island.  Maybe one day;
