What does 'service' mean to you? For me, it is bringing value to and/or helping someone else- regardless of reciprocation or thanks. Service, this day and age, seems to, sadly, be lacking. So often, it's as if there's always an 'ulterior motive'.
"What can I do to help you (But only for something in return)?"
Don't get me wrong- I understand that Real Estate is a business. However, too often it seems as if reciprocation and/or remuneration, of some kind, becomes a requirement.
I don't want to be that kind of person, not in my personal life and not in my professional life. I want to bring true VALUE to my clients (or my friends). If I can't, I won't have a problem admitting that and finding someone who can. I would much rather that my client be served, above and beyond, by someone else, than to receive mediocre service from me, for whatever reason.
This view may bite me in the butt at times, but overall, I want to be known as a person who truly can, and wants to help, either personally or by finding someone else who can. Someone who is known for my integrity and dedication, for my honesty, and for my forthrightness. I think my clients will appreciate that. If not, well, that's on them, not on me, and that is ok.
I am still trying to find my way. A road I am happy (at most times!) to travel.
