It's Time To Move Forward With Grace

The long election process is finally over and we have a new President Elect in Donald Trump.  Many are crying out that they are mad as hell, while others are cheering...typical post election reaction.   

 

I don't believe that this election was one party against the other.

I believe that the people have declared loud and clear that they are tired of all politicians. 
So tired of politicians that they will put a business person in place to see if we can end the crony capitalism and back room deals that have been the norm in Washington, DC. 

 

 

 

Let everyone find a common belief in our nation and our people once again.
Let everyone come together in unity and put aside the divisive rhetoric.
Let everyone move forward with grace.

I don't mind the yelling about their candidate not winning but the vandalism during protests is out of line.

I remain speechless about all of it. Perhaps in shock.   I am so glad it is over so we can move forward in a new direction.

I want to believe that is possible. I've seen so much bitterness and snarkiness on Facebook this morning. I just want to hide until this boils over. If that ever happens.

Hi Lisa, I understand what or who a quarter of the country was tired off and why they felt the need to revolt. What I don't understand is how so many can echo hate speech and ignore legitimate fear. I understand a difference of opinion but I don't understand hate.

My concern is that millions of people were insulted with hate propaganda, mockery, threats ... all with the support of white supremacists. And the next morning those same people were asked to join in the effort of changing the country. That's just not how you get people to unite.

As a woman, immigrant, mom of 2 daughters and small business owner, I am not only concerned, I am scared. Nevertheless, I remain hopeful -  because of the Constitution and a majority that believes in being socially tolerant.

For the record, I'm neither red or blue but socially inclusive, fiscally responsible and non-interventionist.

Not only was I sick of the political slugfest, but I was sick of the media and their spin. I was so glad they were stunned. They need to back off and report the news, not their opinions.
