TEAM Hughes Real Estate School now has two campuses, runs three pre licensing classes that overlap, is expanding further, and sometimes it gets crazy! When we have three separate pre licensing classes going at the same time, things get a little hectic. We try hard to remember students’ names and which classes they are attending, but we’re not always successful.
Sometimes it gets crazy when registrations come in at the same time. We get lots of credit card registrations, and it’s easy to forget a step in the process of registering and posting payments. When that happens, it can take a long time to figure out the excess money. We have many checks and balances in place, we allocate money as it comes in, and we make sure there are always enough forms for each class to use.
Sometimes it gets crazy when Bob and I are teaching the same week. I commute from Milton to Daphne and finish up each day at 4:00. Bob teaches in Pensacola and finishes up at 5:30. There have been times when we’ve both pulled into the driveway at almost the same time. When that happens, who cooks?!
Our other instructor, Jonathan, teaches pre licensing at night for three weeks, so sometimes it gets crazy just trying to explain things to people. Jon teaches three weeks, Carrie teaches two weeks, and Bob teaches one week; yet, all three are pre licensing! We are always trying to keep the schedule together. Alabama is the first two weeks, Florida Fast Track is the third week, and the Florida PM pre license is the first three weeks. We can keep track of it unless there is a holiday thrown in and the PM class starts the first Tuesday rather than the first Monday, and Florida Fast Track starts the second week rather than the first; and the Alabama pre license moves down to the second and third week. I’d like to see you try and keep track of all this!
Sometimes it gets crazy in your world too. Practicing real estate is never consistent, the scheduling is always subject to change, and outside influences can pop up at any time. What is consistent, however, is the need for real estate education. Once you achieve your real estate license, don’t forget you will need post licensing, and that’s where TEAM Hughes comes in!
