The National Parks Service is celebrating 100 years this year in a big way with the Fiber Artist Imagine the National Parks event. A very special and spectacular exhibit to honor the work and dedication that goes into the parks, the event promises to enchant its viewers, at any age. Right in the heart of historic downtown, the St George Art Museum boasts fine art, and art facilities, as well as serving the city for other varies needs.

Running through December 31st, come to the Museum and purchase your ticket to view the full body of fiber artworks on display before it ends.

Fiber Artwork

What is fiber artwork exactly? Fiber art is considered fine art which is composed of materials such as natural or synthetic fiber in addition to other components like yarn or even fabric. Fiber art really exhibits the work of the artist, the labor and effort that went into the piece which focuses on the aesthetic aspect of the art. An exciting and different way to view art! If you have not viewed fiber artwork in person, you do not want to miss this showcase. The Fiber Artist Imagine the National Parks makes us proud to be in St George, UT.

St George Museum

The St George Museum is the leading Museum in our area. It exhibits not only local, but regional artists’ works from many cultures, for a full cultural experience any time you visit. The St George Museum used to be a sugar beet seed storage facility and was transformed into a space made for viewing art. Within the museum, you can also enjoy the Family Discovery Center which is a crowd-pleaser for families. Children and adults love it!

The Museum is reasonably priced at $3 for adult admission, children under 3 are free, and from ages 3-11 are only $1. A budget-friendly event for the whole family! Be sure and visit soon, and maybe even become a Museum member where you always have a free admission.
