How long will it take to sell a condo in Tempe Az?  This is one of the top two questions that condo owners in the Tempe area will ask when considering the sale of the property.   The other question really is how much is their property worth? 

Knowing the average time to sell a property can truly help a home owner make their plans.  For example, if one is graduating from college, has already lined up a great job in another part of the country, how much time is needed before departure to make the transition as seamless as possible.  Last thing one wants it to have to delay the start of a new job, because they still have not sold their condo.  Whatever reason one has to sell, I would like to provide this information, so one can plan accordingly.

Days on market (DOM), is one of the things that as a real estate agent I really like to keep track of.  Days on market can give you plenty of information, including averages such as time on market to sell a condo in the Tempe area.  We can also see how long properties are taking on average to go under contract.  These are all great numbers/statistics to help make your plans.

Quick Disclosure – All these numbers are based on information from the entire area.  They are averages based on the most recent sales and properties under contract.  It will give a great idea as to the averages, but keep in mind this information is based on an entire area.  If you are truly looking at selling, request a realtor provide you current market analysis which focuses on your specific property.

It is a good idea to know your numbers, and the numbers above show some great information about the averages to sell in the area. 

Why would average days on market for active properties/ under contract properties be more than average for the sale?  Simple enough question.  The properties that are selling, are likely priced correctly.  Those properties that have been on the market longer are likely overpriced, and not gaining the interest needed by potential buyers.  This is why pricing a home right, is incredibly important.
