ActiveRain Ambassador Debbie Reynolds is hosting a ten day Thanksgiving Post Challenge.
"One thing we all have in common is that we are incredibly blessed. I am issuing a challenge to all. Starting today and each day until Thanksgiving Day write a post about something you are thankful for. It can be big or it can be small. Oftentimes the smallest blessings give the biggest joys."
Here is my share of thanks for today. I am thankful for the amazing variety of life on our planet. The intelligence of elephants, the industry of ants, the endurance of the 5,000 year old bristle cone pine in California, all kinds of life can inspire me and sometimes delight me. One that I first encountered when I moved to Kauai is our native and much celebrated Mokihana tree. The leaves give off a subtle scent that is difficult to describe, very special and one reason leis with Mokihana are often made for wedding celebrations.
