Great post, Donna Foerster . Glad you wrote it even though it was too late for the contest. I also have a soft spot in my heart for the elderly. I'm like you, when the contest was first announced I couldn't really think about what to contribute. And, like you, I enjoy doing things throughout the year without a thought of any credit. It kind of made me feel good, though, when I did think about the little things I do... and inspired me to want to do more. Thanks for the post!

One of my personal goals for 2016 was to finish things I have started. So this post was one of those things! ![]()
Hi Donna
What a wonderful way to pay it forward. Sure it would have been a great contest entry but it's far more important that you are doing this, and you are sharing that fact with thes rest of us so we can see the kind of person you are!

Thanks! The folks at the Parker Senior Center are very dear to us...their staff, volunteers and their members. We are both members also!
Donna,
What a great way to pay it forward and I am glad you finished writing the post!
Have a great weekend!

The contest would have given you one type of reward, but the work you do gives you a far better one.

Good morning Donna. Our founder has this on the end of each email he sends out. "Whoever wants to be great must become a servant." Matthew 20:26 . Sounds like exactly what you are doing...

Good morning Donna. I'm glad you finished the post despite the challenge being over. Nice.

The challenge shouldn't matter, but it does help stir things up.
Hi Donna - this is such a wonderful way for both of you to support the local seniors. Congratulations on your service.

The 3rd Wednesday is 2 weeks away. The center will also have holiday entertainment. It will be quite festive this month!
That is a wonderful way to serve and show you care. My mother-in-law attended the birthday luncheons at our senior citizens center and always enjoyed the fellowship and singing.

The fellowship is the best part of the celebration.
This is sweet. Sorry you missed the deadline. You can always recycle it next year as this is an ongoing effort on your parts and worthy of credit.

I suppose I could "recycle" it! LOL!

We spend a lot of time at the Parker Senior Center. We eat lunch there several times a month, we play cards or dominoes on Monday afternoons and we typically go to dinner and breakfast out with a group from the center once a month!
