West Sacramento Realtors Should Help Buyers Choose a Lender

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

The first thing I tell my sellers is I represent them. The buyer's agent represents the buyer. As such, there are things that can happen on the buyer's side of the transaction that we have no control over. One of the biggest obstacles is closing on time. It's tough when the buyer's lender cannot close on schedule, and it seems to happen more with institutional lenders than mortgage brokers.

When I asked the loan officer why this particular home in West Sacramento needed a 2-week extension, he offered the excuse that he had been on vacation and his loan processor dropped the ball. This was a Wells Fargo loan rep, and Wells Fargo has its own share of difficulties right now.

Still, it's also a reflection of how some bank loan officers view their 9 to 5 job. Like nothing that happens is their own fault. You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link: Some West Sacramento Realtors Scratching Heads Over This Closing.

Again with the whining agents about what top producers do.  Why don't they use the same tactic?  Perhaps they need a listing first.

You are absolutely the agent any seller in Sacramento should call to sell their home.  No matter the obstacle that presents itself, you will get the job done.

Chris Ann Cleland It's like the plague in some ways. When everybody watches your every move, wishing they could be you. They really do NOT want to be this dedicated Realtor or they would be glued to their computers like I am almost 24 / 7 and have no life whatsoever, LOL.

Hi Elizabeth -- stuff happens as do twisted knickers.   Understanding the expectation and proper communication is such an important part of our business.   With our sellers.  The same is true with buyers, lenders or other agents who may need some gentle reminding of our state's purchase agreement wording.

Hello Elizabeth, I always recommend two or three great lenders that I have experience with and know they don't offer excuses...they get the job done! After all it's my reputation on the line when I refer a vendor.

Michael Jacobs Gentle reminding doesn't do it. You pretty much have to use a meat hook to grab them by the neck, LOL.

Nick T Pappas Your ears must have been burning. I received my Maker's Mark mistletoe holder yesterday and in trying to hook it together, I pulled the mistletoe all apart.

Elizabeth, well it's about time they sent it to you! I have a small collection going, but can't find the mistletoe.

Nick T Pappas I got the red bottle wrapper rubber things, mistletoe and a red hanger, probably to hang a bottle of Maker's Mark on somebody else's door rather than drink it myself. Like that's gonna happen, LOL.
