Ballantyne, south Charlotte, and Union County area high schools in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area were among the top ranked according to a recent report from Charlotte Business Journal, using the data from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Out of the top 50 ranked high schools in the Charlotte area, Ardrey Kell High School in Ballantyne was ranked #4 and Providence High School in south Charlotte was ranked #8. Union County Schools ranked especially well five high schools ranked in the top 11 schools in the area and four in the top 10.
