Travel ~ Increasing My Photography Skills Around the Globe
Anyone that knows me is also aware that photography is my passion. Seems I have enjoyed the hobby all my adult life. I took a photography class in my senior year of high school that drew me in and there was no turning back. I do regret not focusing more on my passion in my earlier years, but life happens and priorities change. I am fortunate now to have the time to get back to what I love, and that my husband shares my passion.
On a recent trip to Italy with my husband we located a wonderful, local photographer that knew the area well. Nothing touristy about our arrangements, but crowds and souvenirs were not what we were looking for. We were there to get photos while chasing the best lighting and have fun. Our local photographer and guide showed us the best places and knew how to time the sessions for good lighting. We saw so much in such a short period of time. Lucky indeed that the weather cooperated with us for the time we visited Tuscany. We were up before the sun and out until sunset, and by the end of three days in the vineyards we were exhausted, but had an amazing time and we are now showered with so many wonderful photos. It is hard to choose a favorite.
Where to go next? My daughter and I are planning an adventure to Tanzania this winter to go on Safari. I think a new camera may be in order... yes, this hobby can get a bit pricy, so I'm off to sell a few more houses this weekend!
