Food and Good Food is a Real Blessing

I Am Thankful for Food

In these days before Thanksgiving my thoughts have turned to food. It is a blessing to have plenty of food because so many go to bed hungry every night.  I am so thankful that my pantry is full and my freezer has many options for me to prepare a meal.

I am particular about my food and want it to have lots of flavor. I don't particularly like any fast food and like food prepared fresh with lots of herbs and spices. Given an option, I prefer to cook at home and satisfy whatever it is I am craving.

Getting a good meal when dining out is a real treat and I had several while at the NAR Conference in Orlando. One night we went to Cuban and I had such a hard time deciding from all the wonderful choices that I ordered several tapas. This is a potato cake with a beef and cumin mixture in the middle. It was topped with a delicious sauce and had crispy onion petals on top.

I am so very thankful for food and really good food at that.

For some it doesn't matter how good it is, just that it is there

Hi Debbie

I so agree with you on everything you said, being the foodie that I am.

Most of us don't suffer for lack of food and have no idea what it means to go hungry and to not have enough money to buy even the basics. I'm thankful there are food banks and other resources that can help those in need and that I can help through donations.

I can appreciate your desire for fine foods although I am pretty much a steak and potato guy.  And of late more potato than steak.  Of course there is a huge difference between a well cooked steak and one just slapped down.  So continue with the good food and enjoy.  Mark
