Active Rain Photography Contest-Travel

Real Estate Agent with The Virtual Real Estate Team 104556

My wife and I plan to go back to Italy next year with a side trip to Croatia. Last year we spent two weeks in Italy and I took about a thousand pictures with my iPhone 6s. It is amazing how good these phones work as cameras and you don't miss a shot with the speed. One place I loved is the Amalfi Coast. We used Sorrento as a place to stay and explored the coast. I am a sucker for Under the Tuscan Sun, I own the movie, and loved the part in Positano, and even the way Diane Lane said the name. I am now using this photo as a my home screen on my MacBookPro and it always reminded of the grace and style of Italy. Love the people, loved the country, and can't wait to go back. FYI, going back to Japan in 2018.

That is an  incredible mountain side, with very little space to share.  A scene that when viewed every day will make the memory strong and the desire to return just as strong

I loved Sorrento and could see living in that village. That's the problem with going to Italy. I want to move to every village we visit. OK, maybe not Naples.

Joe,  I like the roundness of this at the top. It gives it a wide-angle viewpoint that is different. I am SO jealous that you've been there and I haven't--YET! My wonderful sister, whom I love dearly, paved the trail and went to Tuscany for our family for the first time just a couple of months ago. Her husband is not the adventurous sort, so she and I decided that for the next trip, we will go together and go wherever our impromptu thoughts lead us.

Hi Joe - Great photo. 6 years ago, we took the kids and their spouses to Positano for Thanksgiving, and rented a house near the top of the hill - you can almost see it in you photo. It was 857 steps to the beach : ) Thanks for another contest entry!
