Home Shopping: What to Expect From an Open House

If you’re shopping for a home and aren’t sure if you should go to an open house, Space Simply wants you to know that the open house still has a place in the home buying process, so don’t count it out just yet. While it is no longer the primary method many shoppers use to find their dream home, on a Sunday afternoon, shoppers and agents still travel house to house to check out what’s available.

Much like you wouldn’t purchase a car without at least kicking the tires, the same is true for house shopping. Technology may have changed the shopping process for the better, it can not yet replace walking into a home and “feeling” the space for yourself.

I sometimes stop in to Open Houses myself, just to check them out - there's always something I can tell clients about that isn't in MLS.
