Do you know the similarity between 500 and 86,400 ?
While one is able to find some basic numeric similarities these two numbers, they actually represent something much larger. We ALL have personal bank accounts that at exactly 12am EVERY DAY the same amount is deposited. These two figures represent but two accounts of each of our separate lives here in Active Rain.
86,400 are the number of seconds deposited into our life each day at midnight. We may use those in any fashion we want but they can not be saved, stashed, borrowed. That is all we get everyday of our lives. 500 represents the number of Active Rain 'commenting' points we are given access to in any one day. We are unable to store, use past unused comments, or save for future use. How we use our different 'personal accoutns' will differ from person to person and yet they stay the same in one very important fashion. It is all any of us ever get for any one 24 hour period.
This may seem nothing more than a bit of trivia for a post. To the contrary it actually relates very much to our career fields in and around Real Estate. We all know that, with Real Estate, any efforts / work done today shows its results 45 to 60, even 90, days from now.
We are presently less than 40 calendar days from the beginning of 2017. What we are doing, or not doing, today will be showing itself in the 1st quarter of 2017. If we are working 'in' our business right now and not 'on' it, we will be throwing away as much as 1/2 the first quarter 2017 to chance, and maybe all of it.
What are you doing presently, with your '86,400' , to continue your successes in 2017 with no slumps or down periods starting January 1, 2017? There is no amount of mailers, social media, advertising, cold calling, what ever it is that we do to generate business, that can make up for not having done it RIGHT NOW.
