I am so grateful that the buyers are out there....
It is the day before Thanksgiving and I thought it would be the quietest day in Real Estate and I was prepared to do a great deal of prepping for tomorrow’s dinner. Well it turned out I had quite a few calls, inquiries about my listings. I am not complaining, I am grateful that I could do some last-minute shopping for the Olympics of Cooking: Thanksgiving. Whatever is missing we must do without.
What I am more grateful to the fact, that it is the day before Thanksgiving and the buyers are out there. As most of you who read my blog posts know that I have a specialty: Vacant Land in the greater Los Angeles area. Hence this is a great sign of the future activity of the Real Estate Market for the upcoming 2017 & 2018 in the short run as well as the long run to at least 2019. When Developers are looking, and buying land, that is the ultimate sign of confidence. When developers have the confidence, that is an indication, that it will be a good next couple of years, otherwise they would not be risking a great deal of cash. Keep in mind here in the greater Los Angeles, it takes anywhere from 8 months to 15 months to get approvals to build. To boot you need another 4-6 months to build the home. Therefore, developers are looking at the minimum two years out to build and then another 2-4 months to sell their product.
I can feel the enthusiasm of all developers in the various price points. They are confident that the next few years will be very good for Real Estate as well as the economy. Clearly when local developers feel good that is a good sign. Customarily Los Angeles leads the nation in trends when it comes to Real Estate. This is something to be truly grateful for.
