1st 2016 Snow on Valley Floors in Sandpoint Idaho

Many would find this a discouraging sight when coming out to their vehicle in the morning.  I am pleased to see the snow finally making it to the valley floors in and around Sandpoint Idaho.  A perfect touch for Thanksgiving today.

By days end yesterday most had melted away but the nearby hills still maintained an artists dusting of white for both visitors and locals to enjoy this Thanksgiving.  

This gives hopes for Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort to soon be opened with deep pack and groomed runs. Think snow and enjoy the season.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We woke up one day last week to about 4" of unforecasted snow and no electricity. It was actually a fun morning since we happened to be off and could light a fire in the woodstove, make coffee on our camp stove, and cook pancakes on our gas range. The woodstove and gas stove were added just a few years ago to handle this very thing, so it was a nice morning.

I prefer seeing your snow pictures than having snow in our area.

We have a beautiful day in Maryland and Chef Dolores is in the kitchen. Life is good.

Hi Mark

I'm sure there are many that there is now some snow with more to come. Ski season is coming soon it seems. I don't mind seeing it from a distance but it's not something I want to deal with again after leaving New England 11 years ago!
