Debbie Reynolds is hosting a 10 day Challenge on what we are grateful and Thankful for. This is day 10 and I saved the last for one of the most important aspects of my life my wonderful husband.
I am so grateful and Thankful for my husband. He is a perfect match for me. Like a perfect wine pairing like a good Cabernet Sauvignon with a Prime Steak cooked medium rare. I met Bob ages ago. We used to work together and I think that is the best place to meet someone because you get to know their good side and bad side. I left that company and went to work at Enron ( a whole other blog). We still we were on an industry organization together so we would see each other at these meetings as we were both on the board of directors.
Bob and I were married in 1998, and I love him more every year, he has a way of diffusing the things that get me upset by reassuring me that it will all be alright. Until I met Bob all of my relationships I was the caregiver now he takes care of me. I finally feel that I can lean on someone else I had never had that in a relationship before. He is my soul mate, the love and light of my life, he is my lover, my best friend. I adore him. We have fun together, laugh together and can cry together. The moment I knew I would marry this man was not on some romantic faraway land but in a Walmart in Houston, Texas. He had me literally doubled over with laughter, and I thought to myself “If I can have this much fun in a Walmart ( not a Walmart fan0 this is the man for me.
This man accepted my parents into our home with loving arms when my mother took ill, we still have my father here. He loves my children as his own, and loves my ex-husband as a brother and accepted him into our lives without question. We think the same and are generally on the same page and oh by the way I think he is extremely handsome.
