 Happy Thanksgiving! Another Year Of Enough

We've made this poem from Bob Perks a Thanksgiving tradition for our blog because it states so well what much of Life is about:

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye." "

This has been another year where the word ENOUGH may have taken on more meaning than ever before. 

ENOUGH of the fighting over politics. 

ENOUGH of the fear that is being fed us. 

ENOUGH of the division that is splitting our country.

ENOUGH of the feuding, the false news, the "but your candidate did THIS" while ignoring the same act by the candidate you support.

Instead, how about:

ENOUGH love for our family and friends and strangers.

ENOUGH understanding that Life is way, way too short to spend our energy fighting rather than helping.

ENOUGH recognition that even with her faults, America is still a GREAT country to call home.  There is work to be done to make her better, but there's a reason people come from all over the world for our freedoms and opportunities. 

We are thankful for God's blessings on our lives.  There have been bumps in the road as there are every year, but overall we've had a very blessed year with much to be thankful for.  We wish you the same.

We wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving and another year of Enough!
