Giving Thanks for my Family
I grew up in a big family. There were 5 of us kids and lots of fighting and hand me downs. We had traditions many I have carried over still today. Money was tight but we knew we were loved and would be taken care of and would not without food or clothing.
I am the middle child. I get together often with my sisters and see my brothers a couple of times a year. We do not live in the same towns so it takes some coordinating and extra effort. There are lots of cousins and I like to know what they are up to. It is really fun when we all get together.
My children like being in a big family. There are 4 of them and they all love each other. Part of the reason is because my husband has been a great dad, husband, friend and role model for them. We took vacations together, worked together, attended church together and encouraged them to get their educations. Each one values hard work and and knows how to manage their money. They are good people and citizens.
I am giving thanks for my family.
