Day #10 - Thankful for Home Ownership

Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

Musings 11/25/2016

This is my 10th entry for Debbie Reynolds Thanksgiving contest. I am thankful for home ownership. A financial savings is the catalyst that causes people to have the ability to purchase a home. It takes discipline to save, purchase, and maintain a property. The United States is one place in the world where the dream to own is possible. The potential to own belongs to everyone, not just a caste system of Lords and elites. Throughout the states, people have choices that match affordability. Everyone who wants to own deserves to achieve a sense of belonging.

The benefit to home ownership and the means to financial responsibility to keep living there means accepting responsibility for paying mortgage payments (if applicable) on time, property taxes, utilities, home insurance, maintenance with the intent to increase property value. Another benefit includes security and takes away the fear of being told you have to get out by a landlord. Being forced to move causes disruption in ways and means to work, go to school, transportation, and shop for basic needs. Having to move every time the lease is up, means moving furniture and making security deposits all over again.

Most people will agree, making plans in advance to own is worth the sacrifice and takes courage to trust the people who will be instrumental in your move. That’s one of the chief reasons why people from other countries who can never own want to come to America. Home ownership changes people's lives. Having a purpose and direction gives one hope and confidence in setting goals to achieve ownership. When one has the courage to believe, possibilities do exist and the joy of ownership means satisfaction. Believing that quality of life does matter doesn't have to be a dream because you're worth it.
