'Cat got your tree ?

Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty 414-525-0563 57026-90 Broker

If your 4 footed feline children are keeping you from celebrating Christmas in the traditional...make the tree the focal point of your great room due to their propensity to Cat in christmas treeclimb it....we have what could just turn out to be the cure for all things cat like that can interrupt your traditions or in our case, sleep.

Dini, a/k/a  Houdini Alpha Hanson, our  three and half year old mostly Ragdoll...the other part Mischief....cat....has over used his noctornal nature in that he opens his bedroom entrance with a chorus of "Meeeeeeow, MeeOOOOW....mew, mew, mew" at 3 a.m. ....I am the morning person in the house...BUT....morning that early is a challenge for the best of morning Moms.            Soooo...What IS a Mom to do ?   Wellllll.....Dini like many vacuum cleanerkittens and cats is not fond of the vacuum cleaner...the very sight of it...let alone the hummmmmm of the motor sends him running into hiding places he has never revealed to us.

Sooo....now Mr. Hanson who is the family night owl, parks the vacuum cleaner in the doorway of the master bedroom....and ahhhhh...to all a good night !  We understand that this works in front of a Christmas tree as well....

SOooooo..if you are looking for a "silent night"....or a Christmas tree standing upright....and may have the fear of losing either one...Get out the vacuum cleaner...and to all a good night !

This is a public service announcement brought to you by Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Broker Associates at Keller Williams, honored to be of assistance for all things real estate in southeastern Wisconsin.

I have 2 cats that aren't used to seeing my Christmas tree and a new rescue dog this year. I think it's a brillant idea for all of them.

Sally and David.

Our cat does not mind the vacuum.  Nor did any of our other cats.  We gave up on trees, and just decorate the mantle.  A

That is hysterical! So what you are saying is you use your vacuum as a scarecrow? Maybe I should say scarecat?

I thought I had it hard getting woken at 5.00 am, I love that Trudy says to me, don't give in, but then nudges me to let them out. Our Max and Sam love to lie under the tree, Sam has one decoration which he is fond of whacking this year, so far we have not had climbing cats, but the vacuum may be the answer if they begin to resort to that.

Ha Ha that seems like a great solution!  When I had our two kitties, I would always include an empty box with some bunched up tissue paper inside, under the tree and that's where the cats would be most content.  I think all kitties love boxes!!Image result for big cats and boxes

Years back I remember reading an article about vacuuming your cat with the brush.  The cat loved it. Thought I'd try it.  Mine didn't.  I had to peel one of them off the ceiling.  I had never seen that look on her face before.

Very clever idea, Sally. Not sure it would be our cats away - they would sit there and meow. Thankfully they are not Christmas tree climbers!

this is going to my son's mother in law who told me how her cat got the table top tree, pulled it over, wrapped himself in the lights, and dragged it in circles around the tree as it ran from the tree or from the joy of the tree chasing it! Who knows what the cat was thinking at 3 am!
