Is that what I think it is?! A mirror reflecting a toilet?
To a person who does not practice Feng Shui, they may be thinking "Whats the big deal?"
To understand Feng Shui, open yourself up to learning the language and speaking in metaphors and symbolism. For example, a toilet in Feng Shui represents drain and some may even say it's considered the strongest drain appliance in the entire home as it is used daily and often (depending on how many people occupy the home).
Mirrors in Feng Shui double the energy of what ever they see. In this case, its doubling more drain by reflecting a toilet with an open lid. Even having an open lid is said to create double energy drain.
Helpful Easy Tips to keep in Mind:
- Keep the toilet lid closed at all times
- Keep your bathroom clean and orderly to allow a better flow of energy
- And if you have a large mirror reflecting the toilet, see about removing it (if possible). If you cant, then at least make the presentation of the bathroom zen-ful and pleasant. It's a very practical suggestion, yet it can go a long way in terms of energy flow.
- When appropriate, keep the bathroom door closed. Keep in mind, there are exceptions to this suggestion as well, yet this is a basic Feng Shui principle.
