Not everyone is enthused about the endless blues skies, stark landscape and temperatures that go along with an altitude of 7200 feet above sea level.....
However, this is all I know! This photo was taken this fall (2016), where the golf course borders undeveloped land in the county, during one of the most temparate Octobers ever, but even then you can certainly see why our region is generally classified as a high altitude desert.
If you are used to the green, green, green of more temperate climates then I understand that this view can seem quite stark! But it does hold a unique place in the heart for me...
