One SEO Mistake we see all the time

There are a lot of old wives' tales on the street about search engine optimization
and understandably so.

It used to be an industry all to itself.  But like many things in digital marketing, change is inevitable.

If you don't keep up with the facts, you are by default, behind the learning curve.

SEO is no longer an industry unto itself. It is simply a set of behaviors that a website owner must follow if ranking organically for specific keyword phrases is important to their business and website traffic.

What may have been gospel 8 years ago could be a recipe for disaster today.

SEO Mistake we see all the time
Regarding SEO mistakes, one that we see regularly at iPartnerMedia is that companies are allowing their new websites to be built upon platforms or frameworks that are not inherently mobile responsive.

Investing precious marketing dollars into content marketing, local search or other SEO tactics is like putting lipstick on a pig if the underlying architecture of the website is not up to par to today's web development standards.

Greed or Ignorance?

One reason this happens is simply lack of knowledge. Entrepreneurs don't always know what questions to ask when evaluating different website developer proposals. They obviously spend a lot of time focused on price and timeline because that's what they know.

Unfortunately, some web developers are not fully transparent with their clients about the importance of mobile responsiveness.  Worse, we see situations where it is used as an upsell opportunity to justify higher project budget costs.

This is unethical in our opinion.

Get Complimentary, Reliable Facts
If you are considering a revamp of your web presence going into 2017, please include iPartnerMedia in your research and information gathering process. It will cost you nothing for a complimentary website review and proposal.

Make it mobile, think of the real estate buyers using those hand held devices. Or don't. And whoever the little red hen in your market that does will hit pay dirt. Take your listings, sales and steal your thunder.
