Lucid Motors is a luxury mobility company, re-imagining what a car can be. Lucid Motors began in late December 2007. What started as a Battery Company, has now evolved into the leading Competitor for Electric/Hybrid Vehicle manufacturer, Tesla. Co Founders Sam Weng, Bernard Tse  & Sheaupyng Lin received a phone call, indicating their initial "seed"Investment had just paid off and filed the necessary documents to found the company. In 2008 they began working on  their Battery System. Over the next five years, these batteries would be used in Motorcycles, Sedans. Vans and Buses with energy ranging from 3 kWh to 150 kWh. 

Moving forward to 2014, they began working on creating an innovative Car. Their 900 hp powertain test vehicle, reaching 60 mph in less than 3 seconds with a driving range that well exceeds today's range limitations. They have spent the past several years personalizing the constraints of modern transportation, and it all started with ground breaking technology of their Lucid battery system. 

They will be breaking ground on the Casa Grande Plant in 2017 and anticipate the first production models will begin in 2018 with a goal of having 2000 full time employees by 2022. Lucid will lead the new era of luxury mobility by creating a vehicle that will redefine the automotive experience for both the driver and passenger.
