Pristine and Open - Upper Pack River

Dick Greenberg 's contest this month has shown us some wonderful photo's.  For myself it has also given me some fresh idea's for new innovative shots.

This shot is not of a million dollar home.  Quite the opposite.  Less than $100,000 as an off grid cabin on just over an acre of land.  It has always been one of my favorites.  Showing the vastness about you.  The snow adding to the pristine feel and isolation although only 9 miles from town on a county maintained road.  I wanted people who were looking for a getaway cabin to feel the draw of the land that surrounded this peace of land.  Their personal and private retreat.

Enjoy the short YouTube video of the property and feel its draw.  Click Here

Oh my gosh, Mark, how gorgeous is that! I adore winter scenes. But I'll admit, I like the pictures and don't want to live in wintry areas like that!

Hi Mark

That photo certainly conveys a sense of openness and privacy. It's a beautiful winter scene.

Beautiful. I love looking at snow. Living in it, not so much. If I ever live in a snowy area again I hope it looks just like that.

Jeff Dowler , you may get a kick out of this.  I needed walk in about the last 1/2 mile or so with the snow falling.  It had that surreal quiet surrounding me.  I had just seen the 'Revenent' with the bear scene.  I was constantly looking behind me and into the woods with much more focus than I would have normally.  Funny what our imagination can do to us.  But this shot seems straight out of the movie. Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint - A beautiful photo that truly captured that "off-the-grid living that so many are looking for!  A cabin, stream and snow covered trees - now that's the ticket!
