Here are 6 easy steps to up date your rental
#01) Cabinets
You have many choices with dated kitchen cabinets. One option is to remove the doors and have full access with no cost incured. Painting is another option. If you don’t like the look “RE-PAINT” Make sure you get permission from the landlord IN WRITING .
#02) Windows/Window Coverings
Most rentals have basic window covers. You can make a fun treatment to add to the look of your rental. Depending on your budget.
#03) Removable Wallpaper
If your rental contract won’t allow you to paint the walls, you might considerremovable wallpaper. Not something that I would think to do, but this was brought to my attention by an interior decorator I was talking with.
#05) New Bathroom or Kitchen Feature
Pretty self explainitory. Light switch covers. Faucets. Toilet Seat Cover. If you have a good relationship with your landlord, many times he will pay all or part of these
#06) Add more counter space or shelves
You can purchase a prefabricated butcher block from a home improvement center or hire a carpenter to build one from scratch. Or finding the right place for a shelve might do the job.
