Yes, it really does snow in the tropics!
Many people don't realize we have some fairly high mountains here. Mona Kea is nearly 14,000 feet and often gets a dusting of snow in our winter months. The white stuff was a little heavier than normal today but probably not evidence of global climate change. (Look elsewhere for that.)
