Are YOU finding YOUR Buyers to be Fickled?

After working on a transaction for over a month, (I represent the seller) the buyers of this property that I have for sale, decided 2 days before closing, to get a mortgage on the property.  Have you ever had anything like that to happen to you?  It was sold and accepted as a cash transaction.  That is the reason that it was accepted by the seller. 

It seems like everyone is trying to rewrite the rules of Real Estate.  Don't know if you are experiencing it or not....but I sure am..

Great post Ginger--and timely too!! There are all kinds of new things going on in real estate right now:

  • Buyers feel they are informed enough to do what they want regardless of the advice of the agents.
  • Buyers are tending to not want to use an agent because they get all the important info from the national websites 
  • Both buyers and sellers think that they know better than the agents when it comes to pricing their property or when they are bidding on a proeprty
  • Sellers are selling their own property even though they don't very often get full market value when they sell it.
  • I could go on and on and on....

All of the above are actual experiences I have had--not in my entire career but in the last 3 months!!!
