Buyer activity is strong, but prices continue to be relatively flat. This has been the case for most of the year. We are into the final month of 2016 and overall 2016 was a great year for the Wellington, FL real estate market. Home prices saw increases in almost all neighborhoods and home types. In addition, we finally pulled out of the foreclosure/bank owned inventory of homes. We now see a majority of regular sales and no longer see the short sales or bank owned properties. This has been the biggest change in the housing market conditions!
Going forward into 2017...I predict the market to continue to be strong, but I am weary of the interest rates and housing affordability in our area. These are two things to keep a close eye on in 2017 for Wellington and all Palm Beach County.
