No. 1 Reason to list your home during the winter months. It looks fantastic decorated for the holidays! It's clean and fresh for parties and visitors. There's the warmth of the fire burning in the fireplace. There are also frequent, fragrant smells of cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate...........you get the picture. A new buyer can envision themselves enjoying this place.
No. 2 - There is less inventory to choose from during the holidays and colder winter months (in the midwest market area), so LESS COMPETITION!
No. 3 - Buyers looking now are typically SERIOUS about finding a property. Many larger companies and corporations make hiring decisions and transfers around the end of a fiscal year.
No. 4 - Transactions are more relaxed. With less activity in the market: agents can respond promptly, inspectors and other contractors are readily available to assist, lenders and title companies have a lighter workload. Everyone involved may give more attention to detail which leads to timely and stress free closings.
No. 5 - There may be more CASH buyers in the market this time of year looking to make a quick purchase before the end of the year for tax purposes.
