I'm new to Active Rain and this is my first blog--ever, anywhere! I can't believe I'm blogging.
I live and work in one of the still thriving areas of the West--Southern Idaho. I've been in real estate about 4 years and it has been just great--successful beyond my expectations. Although our market is a little slow, the community is growing--in a matter of 2 weeks in the early Spring ground was broken on at least a half dozen multi-million dollar building projects--hospital, 2nd high school, hotels, restaurants, Walmart, banks and more.
Residential sales are down, but not out. Many people are transferring into the area and looking for homes. Many locals are upgrading or down sizing their housing.
It's a great place to invest in commercial or residential real estate. Let me know if I can provide more information on the area or real estate opportunities in Southern Idaho.
