Luxury Real Estate and the New Trump Boom in 2017

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Luxury Land and Homes, Inc.

We are all entering a new era. The misery of the Great Recession and the associated years of residual stabilization is finally officially over. So what do we look forward to as we enter this new era?  The Trump boom. Just look at the stock market! So who believes this will help the luxury real estate market. Cash is king and interest rates are on the rise as are dividends. Yes I think this could be good for the luxury market. But I don't want to jinx it so I will just wait and see.

There is no disputing that unrealisticaly low interest rates which we now consider the "norm" are on the verge of catapoulting into the new yet "unknown" new normal. Yes things are about to change dramatically. I can feel it in the air. No, we aren't in Kansas any more.

So where is this all heading? Any clairvoyants out there? Any thoughts on this exciting boom (or crash) we're about to enter. So much is changing and so very fast. Isn't that the way it works. Just when you get comfortable that the sun will rise as normal in the morning, something big shakes your cage and you know that everything has just changed, seemingly overnight. Yes it's one big cycle.

I am opening a new blog section on my site to continue this discussion for the local agents, buyers and those affected around the country who specialize in higher end properties. Charleston SC real estate insights. Info is forthcoming.

Eve, this has been a year of surprises, but I'm not sure that a New Trump Boom in housing will be one of them.  And I'm an optimist!

There is already a better feeling being transmitted with a TRUMP win. The Donald is a winner and everyone wants to be around those that instill this mentality. Many of us have lived through the last 8 years of a sell-out America mentality by the current President and his White House. Now its time for America to regroup to a positive direction not seen since 2008.

Hey, 2008 was brutal for real estate?! Not a positive direction. We were falling off a cliff. It was during the Obama years that unemployment, real estate and the economy stabilized.

It will be interesting to see how things plays out-interest rates have and will continue upward.

Well the Feds are meeting on the 14th of December (3 days from now). We are indeed entering a new era, a new game and a new real estate market. Change is frightening but inevitable. It's all about cycles. So look back in history to project what is about to happen.
