ActiveRain University Podcasts--A Great Avenue for Sharing Ideas!
This summer, Bob Stewart, our ActiveRain Podcast master, contacted me about doing a podcast.
A little gal marketing in the middle of nowhere about an itty bitty lake called Fishhawk Lake
in the coastal range of Oregon.
Well, I was honored.
And had no idea how to do a podcast.
Bob gave me the lowdown. Basically 10 questions that he asks real estate experts during a live interview.
Questions like this:
- What is your best source for lead generation in your business and why?
And there would be some jumping-off points as the interview ensued.
Okay, got it.
In order to understand exactly what I was getting into, I decided to listen to a podcast of a veteran realtor and ActiveRain blogger, Debbie Reynolds.

Gosh she was good!
And completely different from my style. She is very organized and methodical.
I'm more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your pants REALTOR® .
(And that's what you'll get with these podcasts...lots of variety about real estate ideas).
Actually, I've had an entrepeneurial spirit all of my life, so I'm not afraid to tackle something new that I know nothing about.
IF I have the passion for it.
Whether you are a realtor or a research scientist, you have to have passion for what you do, because there will be parts of your daily job that you don't like or aren't as good at as others. That's when having the passion for what you do will carry you through long hours and hard work.
And that is what Bob capitalized on with my podcast interview. There have been 33 podcasts to date and I'm # 31. Probably the age that I feel, even though I'm now over the 60 hill.
So! If you have a half hour to kill and want to be wooed by two passionate ActiveRain folks who've been around the block awhile, take a listen!
