Citadel is a pleasant residential neighbourhood in Port Coquitlam developed in the 1980s and 90s, located in the south of Lougheed Highway. If you take a tour along the Citadel Drive and surroundings, you will see beautiful houses, with plenty of green area and tree-lined streets.
Nearby parks include: Citadel Heights Park, small neighbourhood park with a playground, paved walkways, trees and grassy areas; and Colony Farm Regional Park, which was once a modern and productive working farm and today provides habitat for more than 200 bird species and many other animal species, it also offers great trails with views of the river, fields and mountains.
There are three schools in the area, the Citadel Middle School, Castle Park Elementary and Hazel Trembath Elementary School. It’s a car-dependent neighborhood, but accordingly to the PoCo Official Community Plan updated in 2013, the city wants to support the development of small pedestrian-oriented neighbourhood commercial sites to serve the local population.
In particular, encourage an appropriate neighbourhood commercial development in the Citadel area. There are beautiful, large, detached and attached houses for sale in the area, some with great panoramic view of Northshore Mts, City Skyline, & Port Mann Bridge, right now are ranging from $450,000 to $1,250,000.
