Members-
This time should be full of recognitions. You could reward a team member of the month. Show them you value and appreciate them by giving them $50 cash or a gift card to their favorite place. Give kudos to members of the team and provide an opportunity for the to give out kudos. You should also ask the team if they have any success stories to share, be sure to congratulate them.
Encouragement-
Let everyone know of one thing you feel they can do to improve. Constructive criticism is good! Hold them accountable to the past goals they have made, but stay positive about it. Never focus on one person too long and try not to leave anyone out. Ask your team if the have any ideas on how you can improve as well. We ALL have room to improve.
Efficiency-
Ask everyone what they think you all can do better, as a team. Team members are typically open to a discussion when the topic isn’t directly focused on them. Make sure there is a distinction between personal and team needs, as well as a clear and concise plan of action for everyone to follow.
Train-
Go over new and existing systems, and skill training. Discuss any changes and/or updates. Since your previous meeting. Ask about questions and/or concerns. Make sure you reiterate that EVERYONE should be trained in Sales, not just the Sales team.
Inspect-
Inspect all numbers to make sure everything is running smoothly. This is the time to make sure everyone is on the same page. Hold everyone accountable and ask questions about transactions.
News-
Go over what is going on in the industry, including new trends, and/or big changes. Go over news inside the company and each team, shine a spotlight on any new team members, and give kudos.
Growth and Goals-
As a team, this is the time to make goals for the company and as well as individual team member goals.
Something Fun-
Fun doesn’t mean unproductive! There are many great word games, and role playing exercises used to improve your business, and communication skills.
Remember that your meeting is an important part of your week, but should only take about an hour.
Make sure your meetings are fast, fun, and full of value. You may not notice the subtle changes at first but your team will thank you!
