Predicting Real Estate Is Like Predicting The Weather

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Exit Strategy Realty

I just received my first prediction about the 2017 Real Estate Market before 2016 is officially over.

In my opinion weathermen are wrong 50% of the time when they predict the weather and so are Economists who try to predict the Real Estate Market.

Like the weather Real Estate is a local market and what happens on a national level has no direct affect on the  local market. Some markets can be hot while some are darn right cold.

Like the weather Real Estate takes time to build up and move. Economists are typically 2-3 months behind in collecting data and their predictions are old news. Real Estate typically is the last thing to react to ecoonomic news and so hard to predict a perfect storm or sunny days ahead forecast.

With this in mind I am going to show you Infographic Predictions for the Illinois Real Estate Market:

It's certainly possible to make some educated guesses on where the market might be going, but there's no way to know for sure!

Good morning Jack,

Depending on which you choose you might be right then again you might be wrong. Wait a minute what is going on next month!

Make yourself an astonishing day.

Hi Jack Lewitz ,  That's a darn good analogy.  The winds of change are constant and unpredictable.

There is no predicting.  all it takes is one fool in the world to go goofy and all hell breaks loose and there goes the predictions.
