One day, a long time ago, four wise Real Estate agents were on their way to a big city with dreams to set-up offices and conduct business. They traveled far & wide with the hope and expectation that once they arrived, and after they got settled in, business would start to come to them. This was reasonable to expect. This was their collective plan
ON THE WAY...
While still some major distance away from the big city destination, the four agents passed through a small, just getting started type of little village, with much needy people, wanting to get ahead and get started in Real Estate. But it seemed that they were not ready to begin right there and then, so three of the Real Estate wise men decided to journey on but not the fourth agent.
PART OF THE COMMUNITY
The fourth agent saw an opportunity to win over, farm, nurture and cultivate the future many would-be soon buyers, sellers and investors and wisely thought it well to stay behind and make this place his place of business. It was tough at first because many had questions, weren't sure how to proceed and were not quite ready but the agent was there through it all living on meager means
ALWAYS BUSY
The fourth agent stayed with it. When he wasn't out knocking on doors, greeting people, helping where he could, and being a good neighbor, you could find him always in his office/home available and concerned with every inquiry. Why? He wanted everyone to prosper and if they did, he would too
MEANWHILE THE OTHER THREE...
So the one agent spent several months in this little burg while the other three wise Real Estate agents traveled for many months more on their way on to the bigger city. Those agents finally arrived and set up shops and began the hard work to make themselves known. They were eager to do any business after their long journey
COMPETITORS
Traveling together, they found it useful, safe and essential to do so but then found it awkward and challenging when they went to start their businesses and found themselves competing with each other. No longer fellow travelers, they were now competitors. Much of their energy went to trying to outdo each other.
MORE THE MERRIER
This proved beneficial to the principals, clients and public at large because in time, there was enough good business for everyone to prosper from and keep the costs of business in line. It also helped to sharpen the agents to their best and those that didn't love what they were doing would soon know
PAID OFF
Meanwhile, the fourth agent, who spent his months getting to know everyone, investing his time and biding it as well until the people were ready to conduct business stayed with it. Well the people in that little town, after a while, made it into a small city and the fourth agent was so busy, he had to hire assistants to keep up with all the people who wanted to do business with him

Today, there are thousands of Good Real Estate agents allover the Country waiting to help and provide good business counsel in the Real Estate arenas. The most effective agents were the ones who spent time in their areas getting to know them well and to be known at the same time..
