I'm here 13 years ( wow!) and it is just getting better.
It has great and ugly but what area of LA does not?
Well, maybe DTLA has a bit more of edge ( skid row might be not a good idea for tourists), but it is still great L.A. hood:)
I think Downtown L.A. has a lot to offer, some tourists visit downtown for the architecture as well.

It is true, I like older buildings of DTLA very much, but new ones, like Disney Hall or Staples are great places to visit too.

Those are wonderful photos to showcase what downtown LA has to offer. It's changes quite a bit n the 11 years we have lived here, fron a down town that was pretty stark and vacant at night to a more vibrant community that offers alot of appeal! Great story!

Have you seen some of the loft housing they offer? They are absolutely stunning and those luxury buildings are well gated. A lot of Millennials are moving into DTLA these days. Restaurants, clubs, and art life attract a lot of younger buyers.
Looks like way too much fun. Maybe next time I am in town you will give me a tour? :)

I love visiting DTLA. Last week we went to a China Town for New Year Celebration. I always really enjoy the opportunity submerging in a different cultures here in L.A.:)

Downtown Los Angeles is undergoing its largest construction boom — an explosion adding thousands of residences, construction jobs and a multitude of shops and restaurants. It is getting very popular among young processionals who prefer to live near great restaurants, night clubs, and trendy shopping places.
Inna, have not been to Los Angeles in years, and there is so much to do. Great post!
